Elizabeth Shea, the former assistant commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services under Gov. Chris Christie, is the latest lawyer to leave a government post for  Morristown’s Porzio, Bromberg & Newman. She has joined as of counsel.

Shea began working for the firm Monday, and will focus on health care and human services compliance and regulations at the federal, state and local levels. She also will oversee a new health care and human services division in the law firm’s subsidiary, Porzio Compliance Services.
