A first aid squad that was written out of a will worth more than $2 million is accusing a leader of New Jersey’s real estate bar of unduly influencing an elderly widow to leave the bulk of her estate to a man who befriended her late in life.
The defendant is Michael Casale, who heads a firm in West Caldwell, chairs the State Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust section and was the Bar’s counsel in mid-1990s litigation over whether lawyers are necessary in real estate closings.
