In this personal-injury action, where it appeared that the jurors might have reached an impermissible quotient verdict, the trial court committed reversible error when it refused counsel's request to make further inquiries of the jury, and a retrial on both liability and damages is required; the trial court also erred in instructing the jury that it could consider plaintiff's allegation of negligence against defendant-husband as evidence of fault against him for whatever weight they deemed appropriate.
