Wholeheartedly or grudgingly, more New Jersey law firms are allowing part-time lawyering as a way of holding on to talent.

Of 12 firms of varying size, surveyed at random, all allow some form of flexible schedule for associates juggling legal and parenting careers. Some even have part-time partners (though they’re not wild about broadcasting that arrangement to the world).
