A search is under way for the next Georgia State University law school dean which a job description says should be someone who “understands the changing legal profession” and prioritizes “market-responsive curriculum.”

The Atlanta university is seeking a replacement for Lavonda Reed, who served as dean from July 2021 until July 1 of this year when she moved to lead the University of Baltimore School of Law in Maryland. Courtney Anderson, the school’s associate dean for academic affairs, has served as interim dean of the 650-student school since Reed’s departure.
