Another former Twitter executive has joined the chorus of fired employees suing Elon Musk alleging unpaid severance. This time, it’s ex-chief marketing officer Leslie Berland, who says she was fired so that Musk could avoid paying her $20 million in severance and benefits.
Berland, who until October 2022 was Twitter’s chief marketing officer, said Musk fired her in an act of “petty retribution” after a meeting with advertisers went off the rails, and also to “rid himself of her large compensation package.”
