The 10,392 candidates who sat for the July administration of the New York bar examination had some of the highest pass rates since Barack Obama’s presidency.

New York State Board of Bar Examiners announced Wednesday that the passing rate from the nearly 3,500 graduates from New York’s 15 law schools who sat for the July administration of the state’s bar exam for their first time was 87%, a four-point increase from last year—and the highest pass rate for the July exam since 2013.
