An attorney’s retaliation claims against a Pennsylvania court are moving forward, amid allegations her former employers retaliated against her after she voiced her concerns about changing policies, a federal judge recently ruled.
In a Friday decision, U.S. District Judge John M. Gallagher for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania denied the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas’ motion to dismiss attorney Lisa L. Tresslar’s claims for retaliation. Tresslar, who served as the court’s first full-time child custody master from 2014 through 2023, claims that she was retaliated against by her supervisors for voicing her concerns regarding proposed changes to the court’s child custody procedures.
