Alex Jones is a partner at Rawlinson & Hunter LLP, he is a dual UK and US tax private client advisor, leading the UK/US Private Client practice. He is known for providing advice and compliance services on complex cross border issues facing high net worth individuals. Alex assists fund management professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs and sports and entertainment clients. He advises on the UK and US interactions of income, capital, social security, Estate & Gift/Inheritance taxes, and the use of trusts. He is particularly noted on the application of the UK/US income and Estate and Gift Tax treaties, pension issues and the UK treatment of US LLCs.

What changes do you expect to see in your practice over the next year?

All depends on a couple of elections in the UK and US. Will domicile be done away with in the UK? Will Republicans regain effective power.. Either could bring changes in thinking about UK/US Estate planning.
