Camilla Cecil is a Portfolio Manager at James Hambro & Partners. She has been in the investment management industry for 14 years. The first half of her career was spent at Ruffer working alongside the head of their global Absolute Return fund and more latterly spending three years in Hong Kong as the deputy Fund Manager of the Ruffer Asia inc. Japan fund. Camilla moved to James Hambro & Partners in 2017 upon her return to London. She manages c.£200m of funds for private clients, charities, including schools, and institutions. This includes US-connected individuals as James Hambro & Partners has a SEC licence. Camilla is involved in the global equity allocation but also spearheads the Asia and Japan stock selection, further to her experience in the region. James Hambro & Partners do not operate a relationship manager model so all of the investment team are actively involved in, and accountable for, the asset and stock selection. They believe that this improves the client experience and quality of service. Camilla qualified with a First class degree in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh. She went on to complete the CISI Diploma in Wealth Management and won the Award for coming top in the country. She recently won an Investment Manager of the Year Award from Citywealth.
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: I enjoy the personal side of building long-term, often multigenerational, relationships with individuals and building bespoke, high quality portfolios for them.
