Professional Biography
Claudius studied in Munich and Münster, Germany. After completing his studies and passing his second state examination, he began his career at a nationwide law firm and tax consultancy specializing in foundations and non-profit law. In 2021, he moved to Liechtenstein, where he worked for two of the country's largest law firms and trust service companies, advising international private clients on asset protection, corporate and tax law. His focus was on the German speaking market (DACH) and structures in the Caribbean. At the end of 2024, he moved back to Germany where he took over a law firm specializing in tax law near Freiburg im Breisgau as a partner. Claudius also has an office in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, where he advises in Liechtenstein law. Claudius is admitted as an attorney-at-law in Germany and as an established European attorney in Liechtenstein. Furthermore, he is admitted as a public notary in Liechtenstein. Claudius holds a law diploma from the University of Münster and a doctorate degree (PhD) from the University of Zurich, where he wrote his doctoral thesis on Swiss foundation and tax law.
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: The international approach and the closeness to the clients which requires a deep relationship of trust.
Question : For lawyers entering private client law, what are key skills you think are essential?
Answer: The most important skill is to build a relationship of trust to the clients and the families because you are very close to the inner circle of the families.
