The current pressure imposed on the Government to bring net migration numbers down in line with policy promises are likely to impact our Immigration Rules further, so we (and clients) will need to adapt. I also think that an incoming election may cause the incumbent government to react by imposing new rules or amending existing rules to try and sway undecided voters. Finally, a new government (whichever party/coalition is elected) will mean changes to our Immigration Rules that are likely to affect clients. So – a bit of a moving target.
