Florentino Carreño is a partner at Cuatrecasas in Madrid, Spain. As a lawyer, he specializes in asset structuring across countries and generations, working with families and individuals to provide advice in an international context, dealing with taxes, asset protection, and succession planning. He developed his career at the firm's London office from 2006 to 2009, As an academician of The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, he served as its president from 2020 to 2022. He is also an international fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, which has provided him with in-depth knowledge of common law wealth structures. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, the International Bar Association, Global Elite, the International Union of Lawyers, and a member of its presidential committee. He lectures in the Master in European Union Law at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and is a member of the program's academic board. Additionally, he lectures in the master's in tax at UC3M and Universidad de Navarra in Madrid, where he is an associate professor. He has authored several books and articles on his specialty for both general and specialized press in Spain and abroad.
