Heini Rüdisühli is a deputy managing partner at our Zurich office, where he leads the Private Clients practice group. His main field of activity is national and international tax planning for private individuals and the taxation of corporate reorganisations and acquisitions. Heini also specialises in inheritance law, succession planning and the executorship of estates, and has a broad knowledge of trusts
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: The fact that different problems usually come together here and that legal expertise alone is usually not enough to solve them, but also human skills.
Question : For lawyers entering private client law, what are key skills you think are essential?
Answer: The key skill required is common sense.
Question : With the evolving landscape of the private client world, what are recent trends or shifts you are excited to explore?
Answer: There is certainly a trend for private clients to simplify existing structures. On the other hand, there is a clear trend in many countries to increasingly raise taxes from "the rich". This leads to a high willingness on the part of clients to relocate to
Question : Where is your favourite place to take a peer for a cocktail or coffee?
Answer: The "Haute" Restaurant in Zurich.
