Humberto works with strategic wealth and succession planning for families with matters involving corporate, tax, aviation, and family and succession law. During his career, he was a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York, USA, from 2000 to 2001. Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?

Answer: The hability to work closely with families, individuals, and help them to structure their assets and sometimes life is quite unique. Every day is different, discussing different matters which will affect them personally, which is not exactly true working

Question : For lawyers entering private client law, what are key skills you think are essential?

Answer: Deep knowledge of the matters you will be working with as well as sensibility to address the family members concerns, objectives and dreams are very important.

Question : With the evolving landscape of the private client world, what are recent trends or shifts you are excited to explore?

Answer: The transition of wealth to the next generation brings challenges and opportunities. Working with families to find the right balance of control of structures and the desires and views of the next generation is very interesting.

Question : Where is your favourite place to take a peer for a cocktail or coffee?

Answer: The American Bar at The Stafford Hotel in London. Great place for drinks after work!
