Professional Biography

Jérôme Barré leads the “Private Clients and Family Businesses” practice. His activity consists in assisting individuals in a national and cross border environment. More specifically, he is involved in asset transfer and restructuring operations, for individuals and also for family owned companies. His experience in banking and insurance sectors, as well as in M&A and public offerings, gives him a broad and pragmatic legal and tax background. After working as a lawyer and tax manager in the legal and financial department of AXA group, and as tax director at the « Confédération nationale du Crédit Mutuel », he spent five years as legal and tax director of Rothschild & Co. During this period, he created the wealth management tax and legal department. In 1997, he founded and developed the “Wealth and Family Businesses” department at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Landwell & Partners). In 2002, he became a partner of Arthur Andersen International, now Ernst & Young, to manage and lead the “Wealth and Family Businesses” department. He was then partner in charge of the tax department of Franklin from 2006 to 2020. He is a partner of Yards (ex-Barré & Associés) since April 2020.
