Partner in the Tax and Wealth Management practice groups of Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano (Peruvian law Firm). Expert in tax planning, international tax law, mergers and acquisitions, project finance and advisory to local families in estate matters. Studied Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (1999), hold a Master Degree in International Business Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science (2000) and also completed graduate courses on international Taxation at the International Taxation Centre of the University of Leiden (2007). I worked during 2008 and 2009 in Luxembourg as a tax consultant in a big-4 therein. Spanish is my mother tongue and I am fluent in English, Italian and Portuguese.
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: it is far more amusing and entertaining that being only a corporate tax advisor (I am still one by the way, part of my day)
Question : For lawyers entering private client law, what are key skills you think are essential?
Answer: ability to simplify complex matters, high communication skills and a lot of patience
Question : With the evolving landscape of the private client world, what are recent trends or shifts you are excited to explore?
Answer: actions that can be taken by clients to preserve their wealth for the second and third generations
Question : Where is your favourite place to take a peer for a cocktail or coffee?
Answer: any place in front of the sea, a river or a lake
