I established my own firm, HALL & DIANA LLC, in Boston in 2023. I practiced at Ropes & Gray LLP from 1985-2023 and chaired the firm's Private Client Group from 2006 until it was disbanded in 2023. I am a Fellow in ACTEC (past Chair of Charitable Planning Committee; former President of the ACTEC Foundation) and have been active in the Tax Section of the ABA (past Chair of the Estate and Gift Taxes Committee). I grew up in the UK. I hold law degrees from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, and Boston University School of Law. I came to the United States in 1982 to take up a one-year position as a Teaching Fellow and Lecturer-in-Law at the University of Chicago Law School.
