Maxine combines her extensive legal background and her role as a professional trustee to offer a unique and comprehensive approach to trust administration. Maxine has a strong legal pedigree advising banks, trust companies, and high-net-worth individuals on Cayman Islands trusts and foundation companies. Maxine is a recognised leader in the use of private trust companies, covering licensing, registration, and operations, and has extensive experience in wills and estate administration. Maxine also has significant experience advising on wills, estate administration, and trust litigation, including complex matters involving the validity of trusts and cross-border asset recovery. A well-known voice in the trust industry, Maxine has served as Chair of STEP Cayman and Chair of the STEP Cayman Conference. Her legislative contributions include chairing the committee for non-profit organisation legislation in the Cayman Islands and consulting on key regulations such as Beneficial Ownership and Economic Substance. Her leadership on the STEP Cayman Legislative Committee included advancing significant legislative updates and working closely with the Ministry of Financial Services and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). Among her professional successes, Maxine is recognised in the Citywealth Top 75 Trustees 2024 and by Chambers High Net Worth Guide. She has earned recognition as a Who’s Who Legal recommended private client lawyer and is also a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
