Mustafa Hussain is Chairman of the Accuro Group Board and the managing director of the Accuro office in London. Accuro provide families and entrepreneurs with independent wealth, trustee and company administration services. Accuro’s philosophy is to be driven by a vision of being a progressive force for good for its clients, staff and private client industry. By background, Mustafa was an international corporate commercial lawyer, qualified and trained in England but with experience of living and working in London, Singapore and Kuwait over the last 25 years. He trained at Stephenson Harwood LLP and was a partner at global law firm Taylor Wessing LLP, where he specialised in advising ultra-high net worth and royal families and their privately controlled businesses. He now works at Accuro with private clients, using insight and strategic thought to plan governance, succession and private wealth structures and solutions. This includes solutions with trusts, foundations, family investment companies, professional non-executive directorships, and private office consultancy. Mustafa has published extensively over the last two decades with contributions to books, industry journals and the media. He has also chaired and delivered key addresses at a number of international private client conferences. He is particularly known for his expert insight in matters of Islamic law, Shariah succession, the Middle East region and family dynamics. In 2023 Mustafa’s name was included in the list of ‘50 Most Influential’ private client practitioners.
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: A deep rooted interest in how culture, religion, psychology and family dynamics impact on private clients and their needs.
