Naomi leads the Irwin Mitchell Private Client Advisory team in the Central South Coast regions. She is known for her ability to support clients deal with complex legal and tax issues, explaining technical detail with clarity while also demonstrating compassion and emotional intelligence. Naomi’s client base is comprised of high-net-worth individuals and families who require support regarding tax and estate planning, trusts, family investment companies, and estate administration. She also provides trust and tax support to the firm’s commercial client base and is employed on retainer by other law firms to provide similar support to their clients. In addition to her client work and leading the team locally, Naomi is responsible for the firm’s national relationship with Allwyn, advising winners of the Euromillions and National Lotteries. She also heads Irwin Mitchell’s business wealth offering, leading a cross-disciplinary team to advise our business-owning clients on legal matters affecting their personal and commercial lives. Outside of IM, Naomi contributes to the wider private client community in her role as Vice-Chair of STEP’s Central Southern Branch. She has regular engagements as a public speaker, training lawyers and presenting to other private client professionals and clients.
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: I love that my job is demanding technically, but that it is essential for my clients that I make the advice relevant to them. I have to get to know my clients' personal circumstances and understand what drives them so that I can advise them fully. Making

Answer: Listening, understanding, being able to distill technical detail to make it accessible, problem-solving, and empathy.
Question : With the evolving landscape of the private client world, what are recent trends or shifts you are excited to explore?
Answer: The recent budget brings many challenges for clients and advisers, and I am keen to work with our clients to ensure that their priorities are met even in the light of significant tax changes.
Question : Where is your favourite place to take a peer for a cocktail or coffee?
Answer: I love to sit in my armchair at home, with my cat on my knee. Perfect for winding down with a book or the latest series.
