Pedro qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2011, working as a private client solicitor in the UK specialising in international trusts, UK tax and immigration, and succession planning. He joined Sequent in February 2019 as a Director in Wealth Planning, based in Zurich. At Sequent, Pedro provides support and expertise on a broad range of matters relating to fiduciary structures, working with families and their external advisors on the implementation of wealth and succession planning solutions.
Question : What drew you to specialise in private client law/ wealth advisory?
Answer: The most interesting aspect of the role is the human element. No two situations are alike and you are constantly learning from your peers and your clients.
Question : For lawyers entering private client law, what are key skills you think are essential?
Answer: The ability to think practically and remember that all advice must eventually be implemented in the real world.
Question : With the evolving landscape of the private client world, what are recent trends or shifts you are excited to explore?
