Professional Biography

Sindy has been advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals/families for over a decade. She is vastly experienced in all aspects of family matters, including family governance, trusts, divorce, nuptial agreements, forum disputes, financial matters, children, adoption, and surrogacy. Sindy serves private clients’ life needs with her all-rounded experience on contentious and non-contentious matters. Non-contentious: Sindy works closely with prominent families on succession planning for the tangibles (e.g. wealth) and intangibles (e.g. shared values). This involves setting up bespoke trusts/legal structures integrated with family governance, developing family constitutions and overseeing ongoing implemention. Contentious: Sindy was involved in numerous landmark family cases in HK, including cross border disputes and complex issues relating to trusts, corporate and jurisdictional issues. Sindy is keen to use all dispute resolution avenues including mediation. She is a TEP and a qualified collaborative practitioner, and is currently being accreditated as a family mediator.
