Professional Biography

Sophie is a partner in the Divorce and Family team at Stewarts. She advises clients in relation to their financial affairs and arrangements for children following separation or divorce. Sophie has particular expertise in divorce cases with an international dimension, frequently involving off-shore trusts, inherited wealth or family businesses. She is admired for her calm, considered but firm approach, as well as her incisive technical skills and judgment. Sophie deals with some of the most complex private law children cases, including for clients in the public domain. She is recognised for her pragmatic approach to assisting clients to resolve the arrangements for their children, to include issues of parentage, the exercise of parental responsibility, schooling and applications by one parent to relocate abroad. Sophie has extensive experience representing vulnerable clients and, alongside her legal acumen, is recognised for the support and guidance she provides to assist vulnerable clients to navigate divorce and children proceedings.
