Michael G. Rhodes, Kyle C. Wong and Sharon Soohyun Song of Cooley have stepped in as defense counsel to the dating app Bumble and Bumble Holding Ltd. in a pending class action contending that Bumble's paid premium features such as 'SuperSwipes' and "Spotlights" falsely advertise that users will receive 10 times more matches. The complaint was filed Jan. 22 in California Northern District Court by Edge, a Professional Law Corp., Capstone Lawyers APC and Capstone Law APC on behalf of Harsh Alkutkar. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Kandis A. Westmore, is 3:22-cv-00422, Alkutkar v. Bumble Inc. et al.
