New Suit - Consumer Class Action

Publix Super Markets was hit with a consumer class action Monday in Florida Middle District Court over its tussinDM cough medication. The lawsuit, filed by the Wright Law Office and Sheehan & Associates, alleges that the product's labeling falsely suggests that the product is 'non-drowsy' when it contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide, which is known to cause drowsiness. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 8:22-cv-00367, Amara v. Publix Supermarkets, Inc.
