Appeals Court Says Judicial Immunity Still Applies in Lawyer...

A Philadelphia lawyer's argument that an appeals court improperly made findings of fact was not enough to penetrate the immunity doctrine protecting three Superior Court judges from his suit over an allegedly defamatory judicial opinion. "Appellate judges should not be making findings of fact," said Bruce Chasan, who has pressed a novel method of challenging judicial immunity.
