New Suit - Employment Discrimination

Lyft was slapped with an employment discrimination class action on Nov. 2 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The suit, filed by the Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman, accuses the defendant of discriminating against women by giving females unequal access to the full capabilities and compensation of the ride-share app. According to the complaint, female drivers are at disproportionate safety risk compared to male drivers but are penalized for cancelling rides that feel unsafe, resulting in the loss of Lyft Rewards. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 23STCV27068, Sanahi v. Lyft, Inc.
