Taro Pharmaceuticals USA, operator of Proactiv.com, was hit with a digital privacy lawsuit on Aug. 18 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The lawsuit was filed by Tauler Smith LLP on behalf of a plaintiff who accuses Taro of failing to inform site users that their inquiries are intercepted and stored by third party Genesys.com. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 23STCV19790, Heiting v. Taro Pharmaceuticals USA Inc.
