Albertsons was hit with a consumer class action on Feb. 26 in California Superior Court for Orange County for claims under Proposition 67, which prohibits retailers from providing single-use grocery bags. The suit, brought by the Kazerouni Law Group, contends that the defendant wrongfully charges EBT card holders for reusable plastic bags in violation of the law.
