Edelson PC filed a privacy class action Tuesday in California Southern District Court against TruthFinder LLC and its operator The Control Group Media Company. The suit accuses the defendants of violating the Alabama Right of Publicity Act by using the names and identities of Alabama residents without their consent to market their 'people search' services. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:21-cv-01957, Camacho et al v. The Control Group Media Company, LLC et al.
