Costa Del Mar, a sunglasses and clothing brand owned by Essilor Luxotica SA, was sued for trademark infringement Monday in Michigan Eastern District Court by apparel company Carhartt Inc. The suit, brought by Dickinson Wright, accuses the defendant of infringing Carhartt's distinctive stylized C logo. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:21-cv-11844, Carhartt Inc. v. Costa Del Mar Inc.
