Victoria L. Weatherford, Casie D. Collignon and Marcus S. McCutcheon of Baker & Hostetler have stepped in to defend the San Francisco 49ers in a pending data breach class action. The complaint, filed Sept. 9 in California Northern District Court by Meyer Wilson Co. and Turke & Strauss, claims that the NFL franchise experienced a ransomware attack in Feb. 2022 that compromised the personal data of at least 20,000 individuals. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge James Donato, is 3:22-cv-05138, Donelson v. 49ers Enterprises, LLC.
