Apple was sued Thursday in Maryland District Court over property damage arising from an allegedly faulty product. The lawsuit, brought by Rollins, Smalkin, Richards & Mackie on behalf of Electric Insurance Co., contends that an Apple computer sparked a fire at the insured's property. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:20-cv-03287, Electric Insurance Company et al v. Apple Inc.
