Schulte Roth & Zabel; Southern Poverty Law Center; American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Georgia Inc. and other public interest firms filed a voting rights lawsuit Thursday in Georgia Northern District Court. The suit, brought against the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration, challenges the state's recently approved redistricting plans on the grounds that they dilute Black and Latinx voting power. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-02300, Finn et al v. Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration et al.
