Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has hired EY's Americas vice chair and general counsel Ron Hauben as the firm aims to build a practice advising accounting firms and their personnel. Hauben served in the top legal role at EY from 2014 until the start of this year, serving as a trusted legal and business adviser to the organization's CEO, senior management and board. He will be a senior counsel based in New York and will serve as co-chair of Gibson Dunn's new accounting firm advisory and defense practice.
