Who Got The Work

Colliers International, a Canadian commercial real estate and investment management firm, has turned to Dentons shareholders James D. Gilson, Andrew V. Wright and associate David B. Nielson to fight a pending securities lawsuit in connection with an alleged commercial real estate leasing scheme. The complaint, filed July 16 in Utah District Court by Pia Hoyt LLC, contends that the defendants used shell companies to induce plaintiffs Goldsmith Properties and Douglas Goldsmith to invest in property which was bundled with a fictitious long-term lease at an inflated rate. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Dale A. Kimball, is 2:24-cv-00499, Goldsmith et al v. Long et al.
