New Suit - Consumer Class Action

HP Inc. hit with a consumer class action Friday in Florida Southern District Court alleging that certain HP laptops sold in or after 2017 contain defective hinges. The suit, which pursues claims under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, contends that hinges connecting the laptop display to the base are prone to breaking, which prevents the devices from properly opening and closing. The court action was filed by Scott Hirsch Law Group; Migliaccio & Rathod and Gustafson Gluek. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 9:21-cv-82107, Greenberg v. HP Inc.
