Former NFL player and Fox Sports analyst Reginald A. Bush II filed a defamation lawsuit against the National Collegiate Athletic Association on Aug. 23 in Indiana Superior Court for Marion County. The complaint accuses a NCAA spokesman of falsely claiming in the media two years ago that the plaintiff had engaged in a 'pay-for-play' arrangement with the University of Southern California while he was a college athlete. The case was filed by renowned civil rights attorney Benjamin L. Crump and other counsel at Ben Crump Law, Hoover Hull Turner and McCathern PLLC. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 49D01-2308-CT-033106, Reginald A. Bush, II v. The National Collegiate Athletic Association.
