Lawyers at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani on Monday removed an insurance coverage lawsuit against AmGUARD Insurance to Florida Northern District Court. The suit was filed by Ver Ploeg & Marino on behalf of Stephanie Jenkins, who won a $1.9 million award in a slip-and-fall lawsuit against USA Grocery Mart in 2019. The complaint accuses AmGUARD, the store's insurer, of bad faith for failing to settle with her before judgment was rendered. The case is 4:22-cv-00288, Jenkins v. AmGUARD Insurance Co.
