Removed To Federal Court

Attorneys at Covington & Burling on Monday removed a wrongful death lawsuit against The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and other defendants to New Jersey District Court. The suit was filed on behalf of the Estate of Pavle 'Pauly' Jovanovic, a bobsled athlete who committed suicide in 2020. The 136-page complaint, filed by D'Arcy Johnson Day; TorHoerman Law and Hovde Dassow + Deets, claims that the defendants failed to protect Jovanovic from repeated brain injuries and concealed the risks of what is known in the sport as 'sled head.' The case is 3:22-cv-02098, Jovanovic v. The United States Olympic And Paralympic Committee et al.
