Jackson Lewis and the Fulton County District Attorney's Office on Monday removed a lawsuit against The Fulton County Board of Commissioners and other defendants to Georgia Northern District Court. The suit, filed by Betts & Associates and HDR LLC on behalf of two candidates running for board positions, seeks a temporary restraining order and injunction declaring a 'limitation on seeking elected office' policy resolution as unlawful. The plaintiffs contend the policy was applied retroactively. The case is 1:22-cv-01472, Kelly et al v. Fulton County Board of Commissioners et al.
