Davis Wright Tremaine filed a lawsuit on behalf of Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and other social media platforms, Wednesday in California Northern District Court. The complaint accuses Chad Taylor Cowan, operator of the site Customer Feedback Score Solutions, of unlawfully aiding 'deceptive advertisers' in circumventing Meta’s methods for locating misleading advertisements and applying enforcement measures. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:22-cv-01670, Meta Platforms, Inc. v. Cowan.
