Walsh & Friedman and attorneys Robert J. Walsh and Matthew P. Pawlowski were sued for legal malpractice on June 17 in Nevada District Court for Clark County. The suit was brought by Vegas Valley Injury Law on behalf of the estate of Dauphine Bertuccini, who died after being dropped from a gurney during transportation to a hospital. The suit contends that in an underlying wrongful death suit, the attorneys named the wrong company as a defendant and pursued a default judgment despite being informed that the wrong company had been named, resulting in vacatur and dismissal with prejudice two years later. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is A-24-895509-C, Bertuccini et al. v. Walsh et al.
