New York Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence Marks on Tuesday answered questions from lawmakers about the state's bail reform law and other issues as part of the first joint legislative public hearing on the 2022 Executive Budget Proposal. Marks noted that state court leaders have not yet opined on New York City Mayor Eric Adams' proposal that judges be allowed to consider dangerousness as they weigh whether to detain a defendant.
