Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and other defendants were hit with a malpractice lawsuit on April 5 in Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County. The court action was filed by Freiwald Law on behalf of Joe C. Leverette Jr. as executor of the estate of decedent Fannie G. Leverette. The complaint alleges that the decedent was subjected to sexual harassment and assault in the defendants’ care. The complaint further alleges that the defendants failed to provide the decedent with proper medical care, resulting in her development of sepsis and ultimate death. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is Leverette, Jr. v. Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
