Chipotle Mexican Grill was sued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Sept. 27 in Kansas District Court. The suit alleges that after a Muslim worker in Lenexa, Kansas, refused to remove her hijab in response to numerous requests by an assistant manager, the manager yanked it off her head. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:23-cv-02439, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Chipotle Services LLC.
