New Suit - Consumer Class Action

Starbucks was hit with a consumer class action on March 12 in California Eastern District Court. The suit was brought by Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman and Keith Gibson Law on behalf of a class of consumers who suffer from lactose intolerance and milk allergies; according to the complaint, the defendants' charge of an extra $0.50 to $0.80 to substitute milk for non-dairy alternatives violates the Americans with Disabilities Act and California Unruh Civil Rights Act. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:24-cv-00303, Bollinger et al. v. Starbucks Corp.
