Egan-Jones Ratings and Sean Egan were hit with an employment lawsuit on March 13 in New York Southern District Court. The complaint was filed by Petrillo Klein & Boxer on behalf of former Chief Risk Officer Michael Brawer and former Senior Director and Head of Ratings Philip Galgano; according to the suit, the plaintiffs were terminated after filing whistleblower complaints with the Securities and Exchange Commission about alleged violations of securities laws. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:24-cv-01895, Brawer et al. v. Egan-Jones Ratings Co. et al.
