AbbVie, Allergan and Merck filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Apitoria Pharma Private Limited and Aurobindo Pharma Limited on March 29 in New Jersey District Court. The court case, asserting four patents related to the plaintiffs' migraine medication Ubrelvy, was filed by McCarter & English and Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner. The suit takes aim at the defendants' submission to the FDA to market a generic version of Ubrelvy without the plaintiffs' authorization. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendants.
